Mazara del Vallo city
Like most Sicilian towns, Mazara Del Vallo, considered Italy‘s largest fishing port in the region, experienced a succession of foreign invasions, with Arab and Spanish influences being most evident in the town centre, known as KASHAB. The Museum of the SATIRO DANZANTE, a bronze statue found in the sea off Mazara by local fishermen in 1998, is a must-see!
